Joey was found by a woman two years ago on a street in St. Pete. He's been bounced around quite a bit. He was adopted and after 7 months taken to a local shelter because someone was "allergic". He was adopted two months later and after 9 months abandoned - again - at a local veterinary clinic (supposedly the vet bills were too much for the person. Fortunately for Joey the vet clinic contacted us). We have him once again. He is a one person cat. Once he gets used to you he's great but he does not like other cats at all. He also would not be happy with young children. So if you have a quiet household please consider adopting Joey. Call 481 5262 for more information. All Save Our Strays Inc cats have been sterilized, given one distemper vaccine, a rabies vaccine and have been combo tested for FeLV/FIV. Also all have been microchipped. Please note cats come in and out of foster homes so seeing a cat on this site does not guarantee it will be available when you contact us. Also we do not adopt on a "first come first serve" basis. Our volunteers, particularly the foster homes, have first right of adoption even if at some point the photo is posted on this site. The adoption fee is $50.00 (subject to change.) Renters will be asked to provide proof that pets are allowed. Placements are made based on the needs of each cat.
