This is my wife's car which has been garage kept since we bought it on Feb. 17, 2001. This car was not a daily driver for her. We bought it from a man in Land O'Lakes, FL who collects and restores classic cars. We bought it to take to car shows and enjoy it on the weekends. The reason we are selling the Mustang is we have a daughter now and my wife rarely gets to drive the car anymore. The information for this car is the following:
VIN # 5F07F111691; was produced on April 10, 1964, only thirty days after the first Mustang rolled off the assembly line on March 9, 1964. It was the 11,169th car produced. FYI, Ford only offered the 260 V8 in the '64 1/2 models. In 1965 the 260 was taken out of the engine offerings.
Original drivetrain: 260 V8 two barrel with C4 three speed automatic on the floor. 80,850 actual miles. Engine and transmission have not been rebuilt but it runs and drives. I have personally replaced the intake gaskets, valve cover gaskets, fuel pump, fuel line from carb. to fuel pump, the vacuum advance line, new coil, battery and the tires have less than 1000 miles since new. I had dual Flowmaster exhaust with 2 1/4" pipes with dual chrome tips installed right after we bought the car. The Mustang is also equipped with power steering.
Paint and interior: Wimbleton White exterior paint with black vinyl/black trim interior.
Body: Previous owner had restored the car the year before we bought it. He told us the car had new quarter panels, exterior chrome, gas tank, and front upholstery.
This car is not in perfect condition, such as a class 1 car, but considering it is over forty years old, it is still a solid vehicle.
