My sister and I were on the loose....dodging cars, eating out of trash cans, and resting on porch's of strangers before we were scooped up and taken to foster care. We are happy to leave that life behind us and start fresh. I am about 2 yrs old, vaccinated, spayed, and microchip. I have been tested for heartworms and unfortunately tested positive, but I am asymptomatic. Adoption fees help defray the cost of vaccines, spay/neuter, microchips, flea and heartworm preventative, and any emergency care that may pop up. Not only is Animal Friends Society a 501c3, but we are also comprised of all volunteers. Please know that by filling out an application that you are not bound to anything, and that there will be a vet reference conducted for each applicant. All applicants (if they own other animals) must have all animals altered, vaccinated, and have a history or heartworm prevention.
